Membership Questions & Answers

We work on a 5-1 ratio with one boat for every five members. This ratio tried and tested has been used since The Boat Club began. Our booking system; devised to ensure every member gets equal access to the fleet and every opportunity to get out on the water.

Yes! Membership operates on a rolling monthly basis with a 3 month notice period. Membership is paid monthly, in advance. If you decide to cancel your membership, you will have access until the end of your 3 month notice period.

A one-off joining fee of £7,500.

Then £395 per month.

You are responsible for your fuel. The vessel is to be refuelled at the end of your trip when you return.

Yes this is possible on request, discuss with our team to find the right membership for you.

As a minimum, Powerboat Level II and an induction on the vessel and familiarisation of the home port.

The cruising range for each particular boat can be found in their specification on the Fleet page.

The boat is booked out to you for the entire day. Launch times are 9am to between 4.00 and 8:00pm dependent on the time of year and category of membership.

Our Cruise level of membership does allow you to overnight with the boat, you may also be interested in taking a look at our Shared Ownership options.

Our Shared Ownership Scheme

For each quarter share you purchase you are allocated one week use of the boat every month, this is available to you through our bespoke owner member booking app and allocated in a full 7 day period.

No, you can enjoy the boat as you wish and cruise at your will. The Boat Club is on hand to help support and plan your itinerary.

No, your monthly management fee includes everything from berthing, insurance, servicing and also your Boat Club membership. The only additional cost you have would be in the case of damage to the boat caused by yourself. And of course, the fuel you use.

You can sell your share of the boat any time through The Boat Club. At the end of the three years we will sell the boat on your behalf and pay you your value of the share.

The Boat Club manages all syndicates and insures that owners are well matched. Taking the hard work and personal aspect out of sharing a boat. But of course, you are free to nominate a friend to join with you.

Your monthly fee includes everything from berthing, insurance and general maintenance. It also includes access to The Boat Club and its entire fleet and locations. The Boat Club even manages the general day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the boat.

Each boat has an allocated home port, listed on the spec above. This also gives you the added benefit of the full Boat Club fleet at that location.

The Boat Club have created a swap system between owners allowing ultimate flexibility and maximising usage available to each owner.

Our shared ownership plan is unique in that if you need more time on the water you have not only your shared ownership boat but also full access to the Boat Club fleet of boats, so you can always get out on the water. Also we manage all the bookings, the maintenance, berthing and insurance so all you have to do is turn up and enjoy great boating for a fraction of the costs!

Yes, you must be a member of The Boat Club to buy a share in a shared ownership boat, its important that we make the right matches and ensure we know each member before selling them a share.

Corporate Membership

Our memberships have a set joining fee, followed by a fixed monthly payment. The specific cost of a corporate membership is dependent on your package. Please contact a member of the team to discuss further, we know you'll be pleasantly surprised.

We understand that there isn't a one size fits all approach when it comes to memberships. Which is why our teams is on hand to discuss your requirements and offer advice on our current membership options. We are here to help!

Yacht Charter

No. We have a strict no smoking policy and smoking is not permitted on or inside the boat or yacht at any time.

We offer charters for the whole family, however, children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

The charter day is from 10.00 - 18.00 unless agreed otherwise. If you have something else in mind, contact the team and we will do our best to accommodate your requirements.

Unfortunately, our charters do not permit pets or animals onboard any vessel.
